The Wardlaw Family
Pasture-raised eggs, animals & farm-made goods
Welcome to Wardlaw Family Farms! We’re Jared and Kelsey Wardlaw, and we’re so grateful you’ve stopped by.
At the heart of everything we do is our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe God has called us to be good stewards of the land, the animals, and the blessings He has entrusted to our family. Our greatest purpose is raising our children to know and love God, to serve others with humble hearts, and to understand the value of hard work, responsibility, and caring for His creation.
Wardlaw Family Farms may be a small farm today, nestled on five acres, but the roots of this dream have been growing for generations.
Kelsey was blessed to grow up in a family where farming wasn’t just an occupation—it was a way of life. Her parents, Jeff and Dana Verhaeghe, raised her on their dairy farm, milking a herd of Organic Jersey cows while also raising beef cattle, sheep, and swine. From an early age, she learned that caring for livestock meant early mornings, late nights, dirty boots, and a deep respect for the animals that help nourish families.
The legacy reaches back even further. Kelsey’s father, Jeff, grew up on Windy Hill Farm in Plymouth, Indiana, where he cared for his family’s beef cattle and started his own flock of sheep while still in the sixth grade. Kelsey’s mother, Dana, was raised on Wel-Come In Farms, where her family raised dairy cows, beef cattle, sheep, and swine. Jeff and Dana spent ten years showing livestock together through 4-H before marrying after high school. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, farming, and teaching their children the importance of serving others through agriculture while helping feed America.
That generational love for farming, livestock, and God’s creation has been passed down through our family, and it is a legacy we are honored to continue.
For us, farming isn’t measured by the number of acres we own—it’s measured by the care we give, the integrity with which we work, and the relationships we build. Whether we’re tending our animals, working the land, or welcoming customers, our goal is always the same: to honor God in everything we do.
We hope to pass along generations of knowledge, practical skills, and appreciation for agriculture to our children and, one day, to their children. We want them to understand where their food comes from, to value honest work, and to experience the joy of living closely with God’s creation.
When you choose products from Wardlaw and Verhaeghe Family Farms, you’re not just supporting a local farm—you’re becoming part of our story. Every purchase helps preserve a way of life rooted in faith, family, stewardship, and a commitment to raising healthy, well-cared-for animals while providing wholesome food for our community.
From our family to yours, thank you for trusting Wardlaw and Verhaeghe Family Farms to help feed your family. We are honored to serve our neighbors, care for God’s creation, and continue the legacy that has been entrusted to us. We pray the Lord blesses your family abundantly, and we’re grateful to share this journey—and a place at our table—with you.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23
Our Practices
The principles behind every egg we sell.
Pasture-Raised
Our hens live outdoors on rotating pasture, soaking up sunshine and fresh air — never confined to barns or cages.
Regenerative
We rotate flocks across the land, naturally fertilizing the soil and letting it rest and recover between flocks.
Animal Welfare
Happy hens lay better eggs. We know each bird by name and treat them with the care and respect they deserve.
No Shortcuts
No hormones, no antibiotics, no mystery feed. Just real food, grown the slow, honest way.
